In the lush highlands of Bali at more than 1400 metres above sea level the Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club is blessed with the perfect climate for a round of golf on this beautiful tropical island.

 

Designed by Peter Thompson, Michael Wolveridge & associates Bali Handara is one of the greatest golf courses in the world.

 

Only a few years ago it was rated in the Top 50. Nestled in the crater of a volcano, the course is one of the most challenging in Asia.

 

Surrounded by tropical rain forest and with commanding views of the nearby Lake Buyan a round or two at Handara is one of the highlights of a Bali Holiday.

 

The par of the course is 72 with a total yardage of 6983. Fairway grass is Kakuyu, blended with a unique local grass.

 

The perfectly manicure greens are sown with creeping bent grass. They are tricky, in fact some people have describe them as an optical illusion.

 

Extremely well trained caddies (most play off single figures) are a must for this challenging course.

 

Club selection is always difficult when playing a course for the first time and the bedugul caddies will quickly assess your game an offer assistance if you so desire.

 

Yes, there are bunkers, long and deep. Also a few trees to make it interesting.

 

A 300 metres driving range plus 3 practice putting greens with bunkers awaiting you before or after your round. Rental clubs and shoes are available.

 

Bali Handara also have 4 PGA pro licensed golfers on hand to assist you with your game.
